Honey has arrived!

January 16, 2012

We're incredibly excited to share that our first batch of bottled honey has arrived! Exactly five months after we disbursed the loan for sustainable honey in the watershed, we're looking at the fruits of our happy little polinators' labor.

Don Jaime and Doña Mariza of watershed village La Florida are proud to have made their first payment (in product) toward their Mi Tierra Micro Loan. And the bees are working hard to refill their hives with the delicious, amber food.

164 bottles of honey

Clear, undiluted magic in a bottle

The honey comes in 1 kilo and 1/2 kilo plastic bottles that are checked-baggage safe! This week we'll be working to label them and distribute them to various points of sale around the Nandamojo watershed. To see a list of places that will be selling Mi Tierra honey, check out our Buy Local page. The first batch is only 164 bottles so get yours while they last!
